I hope you are planning to join us Tuesday evening, August 5th from 6pm to 8:30 pm here on the City Campus for our 15th annual celebration of the great relationship we have between ourselves and the community. It is our way of saying thanks for all the help and support we get from you throughout the year.
Our Free “CrimeOutAPalooza” event includes fun, entertainment and education in support of crime prevention & anti-bullying.
There will even be an opportunity for you to have a picture taken with me at the police tent during the event. I’d like to meet you and personally thank you for coming out to show your support. I’ll post our photos on this blog after the event.
We will also have an opportunity for you to dispose of prescription drugs. Please don’t flush them into the water system. The disposal will be right at the entrance so if you are not able to enjoy the event with us, you can still drop off prescriptions. Studies have shown that young people have a high propensity to take drugs from the home medicine cabinet for illicit use or sale.
We are sending a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Here are some photos from last year’s event
