Worried About An Aging Parent’s Ability to Drive?

Here is a resource guide that can help:

The Michigan’s Guide for Aging Drivers and Their Families publication was developed to improve older driver safety by providing aging drivers, their families, caregivers, law enforcement, and the medical community with information about how aging and aging-related changes in health status affect the ability to drive safely.  The guide outlines the licensing process, resources that help maintain safe driving, alternative transportation options, and more.

The guide was developed through a collaborative partnership with the Michigan Department of Transportation, the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning, AAA Michigan, and the Michigan Department of State.  Our goal is to help aging drivers maintain their driver’s license for as long as it is safe for them and other road users.
