Cyberbullying

With the rapid growth of technology in recent years, we’ve been seeing and hearing about an influx of a new type of youth victimization cyber-bullyknown as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is bullying through technology, such as computers and cell phones. We are in an era where 95% of teens communicate through social media and nearly 80% of teens use a cell phone regularly. Of those, 45% have experienced cyberbullying from these forms of communication.  Other interesting data suggest that “hyper connected” teens – who are on social media 3 or more hours daily are more likely to be a victim of cyberbullying.
